Meow belongs to a lineage of producers that grew out of the legacy of MF DOOM and Madlib. There are no vocals on this record, only short jagged beats put together with a simple akai sampler.
Like any real artist, M' constantly sought to expand his boundaries.

To be clear, PMFT holds its own at the top level of Meow's work with its "sassy" notion of being a house + hip-hop producer. He tells stories through his beats.
